Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

9-4-14: Today I have just spent the class figure out ideas of what I could do. Ideas that I have come up with are; bucketlists, world heritage sites, fesivals, travelling blog.
11-4-14: Today I have just spent class going through my ideas and trying to come up with others. I have also been thinking about what format I would do, e.g. Video, Website, Book.
14-4-14: I have desided to go with the idea of bucketlists. I have sketched out on sheets of A4 peices of paper, the design I have in mind of the layout of the website. I have also started typing up my process journal.
16-4-14: I have desided to use 'wix' to help me with my website. After completing my process journal and handing it in, I went through the wix templates and searched for one that was alike the sketches I had done.
17-4-14: Today I got feedback from Mr Tedds about my process journal. I was told to include a targetted audience, participants and to add the website where I will be gathering my information from. So this class I spent fixing up my process journal.
21-4-14: I handed in my renewed process journal. I am now searching for the right template from the wix website that will best work with my idea. I known that i can completely change the design of the website in any template, it will just save me time it I find one that I will not have to change around so much. At the end of this class I found the template that I wished to use. It was name 'Literature Blog'. Found at:
24-4-14: I started to watch youtube video clips about bucketlist ideas that I could add to my list of bucketlist ideas on my website.
25-4-14: I once again was watching youtube video clips about bucketlist that I could add to my list of bucketlist ideas on my website. At the end on today I realised that I just wasted two class periods doing this, it was helpful but I didn't need to spend that much time on watch video clips.
30-4-14: Today I had second thoughts about what I have choosen. The layout that I wanted to do was not compatible with the 'Wix' capability. I ask Mr Tedd for help here, I was suggested a number of other site that would help create the basic website for me, but none of them did that idea that I had hoped to do. I spent this class looking at the other website and wondering which I would do, if I stay with 'wix' or if I change my idea completely and start new.
1-5-14: Incredibly unproductive class. Studied for another subject.
2-5-14: Inclass today I change my idea to 'The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World'. Jack Cullen suggested this to me and when I read into it a bit more I desided to change.
7-5-14: Today I went through 'wix' templates again and chose one called 'Green Earth'. I changed the title on the home page by double clicking on it and then titled it 'Seven Wonders of the Ancient World'.
9-5-14: I searched for information about the 'Seven Wonders of the Ancient World' using bing and google chrome.
14-5-14: I changed the bar at the top of my website from information to All the Wonders. I change the name on the bar at the top from contact us to Background. I went into the page 'Background' and deleted everything and then I went to the side of my screen and clicked on add. From there I add a title and name it 'Backgrounds' and I added a paragraph.
15-5-14: I reworded and summerised information from wikipedia on the 'Seven Wonder of the Ancient World' and wrote it in the information box in the 'Home' page. Once I did this, It was to long for what I wanted so I moved to the 'Background' page by cut and paste.
16-5-14: I changed the font of the quote from verdana to georgina to make it more noticable that it was a quote. I also change the font from 13 to 14.
21-5-14: I rewrote the 'home' page infomation box as I must not of saved it last class. I use reword information from www.unmuseum.org/wonders.htm.
22-5-14: I searched bing to find I picture for the home page of my website.
23-5-14: Started on 'All the Wonders' page this class. I cleared the page and deleted everything previously on it and added seven paragraph boxes, seven title boxes and seven photo's all the same one and I desided I will go back later and change them all. I linded them all up evenly. I also wrote a title of each of the 'Seven Wonder of the World' in each of the title boxes.
25-5-14: Today I spent most of this Sunday, Rewording and summerizing information form wikipedia on all of the 'Seven Wonders of the Ancient World'. I make seven subpages under 'All the Wonders'. I title them all and wroten the information in each the the paragraph boxes. I search for photo's of each of the 'Seven Wonders of the Ancient World' and uploaded them to wix and added them to the photo box next to each of the paragraph boxes. I added extra photo's to some of them because the photo had to be small or it would cut the rest of the photo out.
28-5-14: Added at button to each of the subparagraphs on 'All the Wonders' page. I change the name of the button to 'More Information' and changed the colour from a green to a yellowy-cream.
29-5-14: I change the bar at the top of the webpage from blog to 'Bilbiography'. I added my bibliography in, which I had to type it all in because the copy and paste was working for me :(.
2-6-14: I added a button to the bibliography page. I change the name of the button to 'MY JOURNAL' and added a subpage under 'Bibliography' name 'Process Journal'. I copied and pasted what I have done of my journal in to this page.
6-6-14: Today I went over my website and added all of the pictures in.
9-6-14: Today I linked all of the subpages to the correct page and linked all the buttons to the matching subpages.
12-6-14: Today I copied and pasted part of what I have writen on each of my subpage information and pasted it into the subparagraphs in 'All the Wonders'.
13-6-14: Today I went over all of my work, I wasn't all that productive again this class. So class I will need to spell check everything as 'wix' doesn't have spell check.
18-6-14: Today I went through my website and have spell checked everything, and have change the background to my website. I also changed the bottem information bar. I am printing off my proccess journal and handing it in.
